One of the important activity is performing pitru-tharpanam (offering oblations to the ancestors) during Mahalaya Paksham to please our ancestors, thank them for their contribution in our lives, seek their blessings and pray for peace and prosperity in all walks of our lives.

During Mahalaya Pitru Paksham doing Annadhanam is very good.

Sri Balaji Temple will be serving Anndhanam to devotees in Banana Leaf on the following days.
